AC Week 6! :iconlovesqueeplz:

Iluvbiscuit2 chose On the Edge by the-little-boo
On the edge by the-little-boo - I chose this piece because it is such an excellent Macro Image, it has great vibrant colors and an excellent focus that makes the image just perfect! It has amazing quality to it, great composition, this person has put a great lot of thought into rule of thirds, making sure that they didn't center their image. Otherwise this would take the viewers eye away from it and the piece would lose interest.

I chose this image because of the brilliant and crisp focus on the subject matter, especially around the face, eyes, and ears. There is perfect lighting for the eyes, which once again, I feel is important for animal photography. This image also demonstrates a fantastic use of grey scale or black and white application. The contrasting is in all the right places on the cat, and the cat contrasts nicely with the lighter and blurred out background. This really emphasizes the subject, and as a result you truly get a sense of an emotive feeling from what appears to be a kitty who is small and alone.
Fantastic work.

When I saw this photo, I felt instantly that it could easily have been accepted into our Feature folder. The subject is fantastically adorable, posed well, easy to see and the focus of this photograph - nothing obstructing the puppy or distracting from the puppy. Speaking of focus, the face of the puppy is clear and crisp, fading into a soft background. The use of aperture is wonderful in this piece! The color is also great, with a nice blur to the background, a little natural bokeh from the light, and the subject stands out. The expression on the sweet pup is adorable too!

What a great moment! The soft colors are beautiful and the dog's expression is wonderful.

I love seeing photos of cats that capture their natural behaviour, like in this case hunting.
This photographer did an excellent job in that.

I love horses=D I see many portraits of horses with black background, and yet this one catches my eyes. The great effect that can be received with so few colours is astonishing. Not only Riders will agree when I say 'the lucky one that can call this horse his own'.

Camera Information: Macro Photography!

Macro photography is a very inspiring type of photography, and a lot of the people who do it you really should look up to, MACRO photography is actually quiet hard to do. The settings have to be right.

What is Macro?

Macro is a photography term meaning 1x magnification and above. Anything less than this is considered as a 'Close Up' image not 'Macro.' If an image is in Macro, this means that the image you have taken will look like the real life size on your camera screen.

Lenses
When it comes to lenses you have two types of options you can either buy 'Macro filters' for your DSLR or you can by a Macro Lens. A MUST have lens for all photographers is the 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8. This lens is capable of close ups and Macro shots with the help of filters and extension tubes.
